I was there a few weeks ago, I asked about camping spots and all the staff directed me to one older gentleman who was helpful but couldn't answer my questions. Sadly, in the background, the all Caucasian staff were talking poorly and derogatorily about an Indigenous women outside the centre. It was awful to hear and see how openly they were commenting without care that I (or anyone) was in their centre. Made me feel disgusted and sad.
Nambucca is everything you expect for a relaxing holiday. Beaches,forests,food and mainly good weather came for holidays with my children 21 years ago and and have been living here that long.
First Class service by local Volunteers. Giving very thorough answers to our questions. What to do and see in this Valley including the pristine Estuary. They even gave us more informed direction of places to see on our journey South to Sydney. Well worth a visit for information.
