Shop. Ok. Staff leave a lasting impression of being rude. No smiles. And cranky when asked something is worst in the fruit and vegetable area
An excellent supermarket well stocked with a great variety. Although the local Woolies is closer I have to go to IGA get things I can't get at Woolies in this case loose Billy Tea also Australian lemons woolies have USA lemons which I object to buying.

Service has improved since they removed 50% of the self service cash registers. They now have up to 3 manned registers open and staff who are keen to serve customers.They have a good supply of boxes to carry home your shopping in and they are free.Since the redesigned shop they have dropped many of the cheap lines eg Black & Gold forcing many of the socially disadvantaged customers up to Woolworths to buy their home brands.There are far too many speciality high priced items that don't suit the demographics of Nambucca Heads but the upside is they are then heavily discounted eg 50-70% so bargain hunters are rewarded.There is lots of free parking at the Plaza and regular buses arrive and depart making for suitable transport for many IGA shoppers. Just outside is a cafe but it usually closes way too early for afternoon tea.The IGA has done away with the bakery section which is a pity as similar sized towns such as Kyogle have a bakery in their IGA plus a bigger range in most areas eg fruit & vegetables.Business seemed to suffer greatly after the remodel and the introduction of many self service kiosk but gradually people seem to be coming back to support the local IGA.The store has some basic clothing items but store layout doesn't highlight them.The deli never appears attractive yes it is clean but very dated and service can be very variable depending on which staff members are serving.They also have a liquor department which carries a wide range of spirits,wines & beers with friendly helpful staff.
